Welcome to the PPIO Critique Page
The pieces you see here are those of brave
souls who submitted their artwork for suggestions and discussion. We thank
them for their courage. ( It's not easy to put your"baby" out there on
an open forum and allow people to throw verbal rocks at it.)
Since one picture is worth a thousand words, we think that this new critique
feature will be very educational for both new painters and experienced
artists alike.
Critique Ground rules:

You need to be a member of the Free
Chinapaint mailing list in order to send your comments to
the list. If you are not a member and would like to join, email Marci
Blattenberger at rxguitar@comcast.net
and she will sign you up.

To view the current critique piece,
click on the link below.....

You will also see a little bit of information
about the artist (who will remain un-named until the critique is
over) which will give you some background about their experience and
skill level.

When you have carefully looked over
the piece, you can click on the email link below to send an email
to the mailing list with your suggestions and comments. Remember,
the more specific the comments, the better....and also, while
those who are presenting their work here are expecting and welcoming
criticism, please be nice about it. (Nasty or hateful critiques
will get you removed from the mailing list.)

Your critique to the mailing list MUST
BE SIGNED. (The only one allowed to remain anonymous is the
artist)

If "Critique No. (and the current
critique number) is not in the Subject line of the email popup screen,
or if you are not using the Chinapaint email link below, please put
"Critique #_____" in the subject line of your email. (Each critique
painting will be numbered. Using that number when you critique it
will help us keep the proper comments with the proper painting).

At the end of the critique period, the
piece and all of the comments about it will be archived on the Members
Logon pages of PPIO and the artist's name, (if they so choose), will
be revealed.
