MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

This application form is for RENEWALS only.

Note: The Date entry in this form is mainly for the printed application form to be sent with your payment by post office mail. For Credit Card applications, today's date will be used as your application date.

Although your email address is not necessary to process your renewal, it is required if you are paying by credit card and you want to receive a receipt for the transaction by email.

If any of your general membership information has changed, you should email Marci Blattenberger at marci@ppio.com so she can update this information to the PPIO Database. We now have the ability to store secondary address information in the PPIO Database (for those of you who live in two different residences during particular times of the year). If you joined PPIO prior to October 15, 2000, (before the secondary address information boxes were added to the New Membership Application form) and you have a secondary address, we may not have this information in the database. If you want PPIO to have your secondary address information, you can email Marci at marci@ppio.com with the information and she will add it to the PPIO Database.

If you are a Charter Member, Renewal of your Charter Membership in Porcelain Painters International Online (PPIO) is $24.00 for one year. If you are not a Charter Member, the current Membership Renewal is $32.00 annually. The renewal process will calculate your renewal fee automatically, based on your membership status (Charter or Regular member).

Your renewal period will be based on your original Membership Date. The Membership date is printed on the face of your Membership card (example: "Member Since: June 2000") If your old Membership card says something like "Next Renewal Date:" and a date then, sometime after your renewal of membership has been processed, you will be mailed a new membership card. The new cards no longer say "Next Renewal Date" but instead, say "Member Since:" and the month and year you joined PPIO.

Payment by Credit Card:
If you select payment by credit card, then when you click the submit button, your application information will be stored in a temporary member file and, if everything is okay, the next page you see will have a button with the caption, "Click Here for Secure Payment Form".

When you click on this button, you will be taken to the Authorize Net secure transactions page to complete the entry of your credit card information. If the transaction is completed successfully, your renewal information will be stored in the permanent PPIO Members database.

SPECIAL NOTE: With most browsers, when you go from an unsecure site to a secure site, a message is displayed warning you that you are going to a secure site and that information you give will not be visible to anyone else on the web. Likewise, when you go from a secure site to an unsecure site, a message is displayed warning you that you are going to an unsecure site and that any information you give will be visible to anyone else on the web.

If your browser setting is setup to do this, you will see the message about going to a secure site when you click the "Continue with Secure Transaction" button after you submit your application information. And, later after your credit card information has been submitted and you click the "Continue" button on the page which displays your receipt, you will see the message about going to an unsecure site. You may be tempted to say "No" in response to the request whether you want to continue when you see the message about others seeing any information you give on the web. But, if you do this, the program on PPIO which stores your information permanently into the PPIO member database and displays your username and password will not run. This means that your PPIO membership record will not be complete. Although, your payment was made (the credit card transaction went through), we will have to add your membership information manually.

You do not need to be concerned about your information being seen by anyone on the web because, by the time you click the "Continue" button, your credit card transaction has completed and there is no other secure information pending for others to see.

If you continue on after your transaction has completed, you will be given a temporary Username and Password. These will be displayed when your membership application has completed successfully. You may change these later on.
