Filtering Strokes
by Penny Nangle
Filter Strokes:

Fill your brush with a full load of paint. Place your brush down flat on the china and paint around the petals first, like on the picture. Now, start to make flat strokes out away from the petals.
Make each stroke criss cross from each other... kinda like cutting the corners off your rectangular strokes you are making.
Leave those holes you have created, and gently stroke over this filtered area to fuzzy it out some (Just a little Bit) No fair having so much fun making mud..
You will need to practice these strokes. But, before long you will be doing it like a pro.
