Jingle Bells Border
by Celeste McCall

Jingle Bells:

1. First make your border with a china pencil or stabillo pen.

2. Then begin by putting on a yellow brown color sort of dark….but not opaque. That would make the wipeouts make too big of a buildup of paint.

3. Begin stamping circles using the big end of a form earplug (about the size of a dime) or your finger to make circles.

4. Next, use the paint that is within the circles to smooth them. But, make sure that they are lighter than the background. But NOT white china. I use two comma strokes with a ¼” chisel brush…one this way and one that way.

5. Now, you could leave it like this….but I like overlaps, so I go back and add some more jingle bells on top. These you wipe out almost to white china…just a hint of color.

6. Next, make the little half circle that shows where the top and bottom were connected. Do this with the wipout too.

7. After that, then on the jingle bells that are on the top (where you can see the whole jingle bell…not pieces & parts of them), take the wipe out tool and define some edges and give some of them little ‘tops’.

8. Last, put mixing yellow on these top bells and then wipe out a highlight.

9. Fire to .016 or hotter.
